At Medtronic Diabetes, our 20 plus year history vividly reflects our dedication and ongoing vision to develop an "artificial pancreas". In 1983, we pioneered the idea of continuous insulin delivery, introducing our first insulin pump in an effort to find a "better way" to deliver insulin for people with diabetes. Since that time, Medtronic Diabetes has remained the market leader, earning a reputation for excellence in insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring.

http://www.oxford-biosensors.com/
Oxford Biosensors has a clear objective: to create a new category in portable diagnostics for Primary Healthcare. Our aim is to introduce low complexity devices suited for use at the point of care by healthcare workers with minimal training required. Each strip will measure groups of parameters that have disease specific relevance from a single finger prick blood sample and the results will be available in seconds. We develop and manufacture our products, working with global marketing partners that identify and fulfil market demand.
The company was formed in 2000 based on novel technology from the University of Oxford. Our purpose-built development and pilot manufacturing facility is situated on the outskirts of Oxford at Yarnton.
