应该写成 "Taiwan, Chin", 两个词之间有个逗号。

只是见过, 不一定最合适。 不过, 记忆中的北京奥运, 香港队进场时举的牌子好像是China (Hong Kong)??? 谁有纪录片有空看看。

In the WHA, the Representatives of Mainland China and the Observers from Taiwan under the name “Chinese Taipei” presented in the same meeting. I therefore believe that “Chinese Taipei” is acceptable to the official of Mainland China.

According to the information available, the following translations seem to be acceptable:

(1) 在中国的全国性组织以中国的名义参加的情况下 : “中国台北”(TAIPEI，CHINA)或“中国台湾”(TAIWAN，CHINA) [Accepted by the official of Mainland China]

(2) 国际上 : “Chinese Taipei” (中译“中华台北”? 台湾官方似乎不接纳“中国台北”) [Accepted by the officials of both of Mainland China and Taiwan]

政治常变, 有关的词语及其译文也常变。 海峡两岸*的官方和民间的取向也有不同, 所以, 有多种名称和译名也不足为奇了, 静观其变吧。

(*大家有否留意, 有些词如“海峡两岸”、“境外”等在英译时是有点困难的。)
