FEI收购Zeiss的真正目的，是看中了Zeiss透射电镜中的欧米伽能量过滤器。

老兄搞错了， FEI比起 ZEISS来小多了， 怎么能小鱼吃大鱼呢。
我说的是ZEISS收购 FEI， GOOGLE一下，很多信息。

不知道相信谁？我上周刚与FEI的工程师交流过，这纯属谣言。

更新消息：FEI新的CEO还未上任，哪来的收购任务。这次更认真，绝不是谣言。

很难相信这个消息！

大家没必要在这里争论，静观其变就可以了。
大公司有自己的发展计划，为了生存发展，可以卖掉很多有前途的产业（没前途就不会有人买了）。
当年飞利浦整体亏损，被迫转型向电子通讯发展，为此卖掉了光驱、显示器等很多赚钱的部门，也包括电镜部门。
所以没必要争论，大家都是用户，是同一条战线的，是不可能干预制造商决策的。

New CEO for FEI

FEI Company has announced that Don R. Kania has been named as president, chief executive officer and a board member of the company. Dr. Kania, 51, has most recently been president and chief operating officer of Veeco Instruments Inc, where he has worked since 1998. Prior to that he held technical and general management positions of increasing responsibility at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratory. He holds B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics and engineering from the University of Michigan. He is expected to start at FEI Company in mid-August 2006.



Dr. William Lattin, lead director of FEI's board of directors commented, "Don's background in nanotechnology and capital equipment markets make him a perfect fit as FEI's new CEO. I, along with the rest of the board of directors, have confidence that he will make significant, long-term positive contributions to FEI."



"Don brings a wealth of business and technological experience to FEI, and I am very excited that he has decided to join our company," commented Ray Link, chief financial officer and interim chief executive officer of FEI. "His leadership and background, particularly in Asian markets, will help FEI continue to grow and prosper."
