    Keep on carrier gas supply all the way to protect the column, if the analyzer need to be shut down for a long time, the carrier gas had to be shut off after the oven drop to ambient temperature.

    Better keep on supply the carrier gas, to reduce the carrier gas flow to save cost is a good idea.
