Magnesium sulfate contained in bath powders is quantified by chlatometric titration based on the chemical reaction shown below: MgSO4 + Na2EDTA MgEDTA + Na2SO4 Calcium carbonate contained in bath powders can be quantified by using calcium ion electrode based on the chemical reaction shown below: CaCO3 + Na2EDTA CaEDTA + Na2CO3 In general, the bath articles, which contain calcium carbonate, are colored and make its dissolved solution cloudy, resulting unclear end point by photometric method. In this case, it is recommended to use the calcium ion selective electrode method as described below:
