Emulsifying aid in powder form is normally not soluble in anode solution, giving results with low repeatability if directly injected to the KF titration cell. For the determination of water content in such poorly-soluble compounds, using the EV-2000 Solid Evaporator is effective to evaporate only water to be measured by KF titration method. The optimum heating temperature should be studied prior to the measurement otherwise additional water will be produced by pyrolysis.
