In general, sugars are poorly soluble in methanol base solvent. Adding Formamide to the titration solvent helps to increase the solubility of the samples to extract water speedily. Volumetric Karl Fischer method using AQUACOUNTER® AQV-2200 or AQV-300 can easily measure water in sugar with high accuracy and repeatability.
