| Introduction | β-synuclein (amino acids 1-134), an acidic neuronal protein of 134 amino acids, is extremely heat-resistant. β-synucelin also has a chaperone-like activity. Recently, β-synuclein has been suggested to inhibit α-synuclein aggregation. β and α-synuclein are abundantly expressed in the brain and putatively inhibit phospholipase D2 selectively. The encoded protein, which may play a role in neuronal plasticity, is abundant in neurofibrillary lesions of patients with Alzheimer disease. | |

Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis is 1:2,000 ~ 4,000. Recommended starting dilution is 1:2,000. | |
