ABSTRACT The present study describes the use of the modified hot wire technique to measure the thermal conductivity of regular printing paper and conductive transfer film. Testing methods have been developed to identify the effect of stacking on the thin films and to measure a specific layer of multi-layered materials using this interfacial technique. In comparison with the guarded hot plate, this transient technique measures thermal conductivity in seconds with the same level of accuracy, and results show that there is 1.5% difference in the measurement of conductive transfer film between the guarded hot plate and this technique.
