Dissolution Filters

Dissolution Filters from Dissolution Accessories are used when samples are taken to prevent particles of tablet from getting into the sample and affecting the spectrophotometer or HPLC results.

Dissolution Accessories offers an extensive range of Dissolution Filters. Choose between:

●     Cannula filters - used when high levels of particulate are present.

●     Filter Discs - Low volume sample probes may require an In-Line Filter Disc. These are designed to keep the filtration process outside the vessel.

●     Filter Tips - smaller than cannula filters, filter tips fit on the end of larger diameter sample probes.

All filters are U.S. Pharmacopeia compliant where applicable and meet or exceed machine manufacturer specifications.

Cannula Filters

Manufactured from porous UHMWPE, Dissolution Accessories (DA) Cannula filters are used on the end of a sampling cannula and feature a large surface area and optimized flow rate for an ideal choice in applications with high presence of particulates. DA Cannula filters are available in 1, 4, 10, 20, 35, 40, 45 and 70 microns sizes.

Filters Discs

Manufactured from porous PE, DA Filters Discs are circularfilters used with low-dimension sample probes in applications where it is important to keep the filtration outside of the vessels. DA Filter Discs are available in 10, 45, 70 and 90 micron sizes.

Filter Tips

Manufactured from porous PE, DA Filter Tips are used with low quantities of particulates and flow at the filter bottom. DA Filter Tips are available in 2, 5, 10, 20 and 45 micron sizes and can be used on sample cannulas with 1/6” diameter.

Agilent baths normally use either cannula style filters or filter tips.

The filter tips fit on the end of larger diameter sample probes.

Sotax dissolution baths use a closed design. For manual and automatic sampling it is necessary to mount the sampling cannula through the drive head of the bath. This allows the use of cannula filters.
