BioStar® Acceava® Mono II Test Kit, Alere™
This high-performance mononucleosis diagnostic test provides extremely accurate results in as little as five minutes. Rapid and precise diagnosis decreases the use of unnecessary antibiotics as well as the need for unnecessary ancillary testing. This shortens a patient's wait time in the office and ultimately improves the quality of care administered.
The test is CLIA-waived for whole blood specimens only, but may be used as a CLIA non-waived test for serum and plasma. The simple test procedure involves combining a venipuncture whole blood sample, fingerstick whole blood sample, serum sample, or plasma sample with two drops of supplied buffer. The test strip is then inserted, and after a five minute period, positive or negative results may be easily interpreted. Test kits have a shelf life of up to 24 months from the date of manufacture, and should be stored at room temperature.
