1-十八烯溶解性：溶于水、乙醇、丙酮、乙醚、苯和氯仿；对于很多化合物有很强的溶解能力；生物试剂遇氯能发生猛烈反应。
说明：生物试剂DMSO常用于溶解试剂，也常用于细胞的冷冻保存。过滤除菌时不能使用醋酸纤维素膜，而应该使用尼龙膜。DMSO不能使用PS、PVC、PC材料的容器，而应该使用LDPE、HDPE、PP材料的容器。
