[ RELEVANCE]

Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) are the primary apolipoproteins of chylomicronsandlow-density lipoproteins, which is responsible for carrying cholesterol totissues.The protein occurs in the plasma in 2 main isoforms, ApoB48 and ApoB100. Thefirst is synthesized exclusively by the small intestine, the second by theliver.ApoB100 is found in lipoproteins originating from the liver (VLDL, IDL, LDL).Importantly, there is one ApoB100 molecule per hepatic-derived lipoprotein. Hence,using that fact, one can quantify the number of lipoprotein particles by notingthetotal ApoB100 concentration in the circulation. It is well established that ApoB100levels are associated with coronary heart disease, and are even a better predictorof it than is LDL level.

[ USAGE ]

Reconstitute in sterile PBS, pH7.2-pH7.4.

[ STORAGE AND STABILITY ]

Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Store at 2-8ºC for one month.

Aliquot and store at -80ºC for 12 months.

Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of thetargetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradationtest,that is, incubate the protein at 37ºC for 48h, and no obvious degradationandprecipitation were observed.(Referring from China Biological Products Standard,which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.)The loss of this proteinislessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
