产品详情

Ceramic nanoparticles mostly consist of oxides, nitrides or carbides. Their main field of application are coatings, because of their heat resistance and chemical inertness. Silica powder especially is used for mass products in large amounts.

Zirconia nanoparticles
are applied on tools and, because of their biocompatibility, in the field of medical implants. Further applications include membranes in fuel cells. Alumina nanoparticles are added to the coating of headlight parts, windscreens, optical lenses, and also floorings to make them scratch- and wear-resistant. When tungsten carbide, another well-known high-performance ceramic, becomes nanoparticulate, it does not only increase its hardness, but also its impact resistance

Ceramic nanoparticles from Particular® offer more than conventional mass products: Using the laser process, nanoparticles can be produced from hard ceramics such as yttria-stabilized zirconia or alpha-corundum and are dispersed directly in water or solvents like acetone. The dispersions are of excellent purity and stability, making them advantageous for innovations in all fields that require high quality.

Nanoparticles from yttria-stabilized zirconia can be ordered directly. For other ceramics, the offer is valid on request. Our ceramic nanoparticles mostly have hydrodynamic diameters around 100 nm.
