空间复用模式选择器(光通信专用)支持六种模式选择
Space Division Multiplexing is a hot topic in the optical communication community.
Multiplexing in time, wavelength, polarization and phase have already been implemented in optical systems to increase their capacity. The capacity limit of single-mode fibers has now been reached.
To keep expanding fiber capacity, space division multiplexing exploits the spatial dimension in the fibers, either by using few-mode, multimode or multi-core fibers. CAILabs enables this capacity expansion by providing spatial multiplexers and demultiplexers for few-mode or multimode fibers.
CAILabs’ PROTEUS multiplexer, based on Multi-Plane Light Conversion, combines signals from several single-mode fibers into any set of orthogonal modes of a few-mode or multimode fiber, with low injection loss and high mode selectivity. It conversely separates the modes at the output of the fiber. The PROTEUS can be optimized for any set of modes, of any few-mode, multimode fiber.

The performances of the PROTEUS spatial multiplexers have been extensively documented in peer-reviewed publications and conference proceedings, both by CAILabs and by its industrial and academic partners. Please visit the technical papers page for more details.
