Imad Haidar Ahmad Associate Principal Scientist

Dr. Haidar Ahmad received his Ph.D. from Florida State University under the mentorship of Dr. André Striegel focusing on macromolecular characterization. He completed his postdoc research with Prof. Peter Carr at University of Minnesota where he studied fundamentals of chromatography. He is currently an Associate Principal Scientist & Scientific Supervisor in the Enabling Technology group within Merck’s Process R&D. Before his current role at Merck, he was a Principal Scientist at Novartis where he focused on building analytical capabilities for separation and characterization of inhalation drug products. Dr. Haidar Ahmad is experienced in macromolecular characterization, multidimensional LC, software-assisted method development for modeling 1D and 2D-LC separations. He is the winner of the Chinese American Chromatography Association Young Investigator Award for 2022. He has over 50 publications. His work made it on the front cover of Analytical Chemistry 4 times in the last two years.
