人类糖基组学计划相关研究进展

The Human Glycome Project (HGP) is a consortium of research groups with expertise in glycomicsthat share a common goal of aiming to understand glycan structures and functions in humans. Partnered with Australia, Croatia, Germany, Netherland, Singapore, UK, and the US, China joined the HGP which will support the analysis of glycans in 30,000 human samples by the end of 2021. By creating archives of biological samples, cells, tissues and glycoproteins for worldwide distribution for analysis, the HGP will ? map glycan structures in a protein and site-specific manner, ? record intra- and inter-individual variability of all glycoproteins in all human cells and tissues, ? help understand the mechanisms, pathways, and systems that regulate glycosylations, ? determine the impact of individual glycans on the function of their glycoconjugate, ? describe the normal human glycome in a body fluid- and tissue-specific manner, ? develop protocols, analytical tools, reagents; report guidelines to promote best research practices; create a public database of human glycome data; and promote education in the field of glycoscience.
