当下，车载激光雷达在跨越鸿沟的商业路径上越走越快，很多从业者对905/940 nm下TOF方案的探测器选择上出现了一些共性讨论，话题主要集中在“SiPM” 和 “SPAD”这两个常见的称呼上。作为两者均有产品布局的滨松中国，我们也收到很多关于这两个器件技术底层差异辨析的咨询，不仅激光雷达行业的从业者，连主机厂或Tier1的用户也纷纷提出了疑问。这些问题包含不限于以下几个方向： 问题提问的角度不同，但是聚焦的核心无非就是：SiPM和SPAD是什么，它们俩的使用区别以及基于两种产品研发出来的雷达模块的差异。进一步就是要做激光雷达，我要做什么样子的路线选择，要选择使用激光雷达，面对两种主流方案，我该怎么选择的问题。为了帮助行业朋友更好的理解这两个器件，我们决定出一篇较为详细的对比文字，期待可以为行业同仁更清楚的理解这两个产品类型，做出一点点贡献。本文的目标受众是，对SiPM和SPAD之间的差异还有疑惑，或者对它们双方的差异到底是哪里不甚明了的朋友。芯片行业专家和同行可以快速浏览或直接略过。毕竟，在当下的环境，用有限的时间投入到自身差异化竞争策略，进一步争取做出非同质（不内卷）技术和产品才是每一家企业发展的王道。那么，请跟我们一起去探求SiPM和SPAD的差异吧。要论证SiPM和SPAD这两种器件，我们需要从定义入手，认知事物最直接的路径往往都需要从定义入手。很多问题，当我们逐字不落地通读之后就发现自己的理解进了一步。 SiPM的定义和结构 SiPM：全称Silicon Photomultiplier，这个名字最早从哪里出来的呢？作为单光子探测器的鼻祖产品，光电倍增管(Photomultiplier简称PMT)可谓是一个划时代的标志。这个产品是基于真空光电子技术，通过光电阴极的光电转换叠加后续倍增级放大，实现单光子事件检出的一个光电探测器产品。随着Si半导体技术和材料的演进，半导体器件也逐步具备了这个单光子级别的检出限，为了在大型医疗诊断装置-PET（Positron Emission Tomography ，即正电子发射断层扫描仪）对光电倍增管(photomultiplier)形成冲击和替换，就形成了硅基（Si）光电倍增管（PM）的名称。它的形态就是在盖革模式下运行的多个雪崩光电二极管(APD) 像素的阵列集合。从左到右，逐级分解的样子如下，它是多个盖革模式APD的并联集合，由于每一个盖革APD都具备光子检出能力，同时多个并联就具备的同时检出多光子幅度的检出能力（也可以理解为动态范围，同时间检出多少个光子量的能力）。 图1 上述图例来源：滨松S15639-1325PS，COB封装1通道SiPM，左图=实物产品图片，中间=放大版结构图，每一个点都是盖革模式APD，右图=等效的结构；简单来说，S15639-1325PS作为单通道SiPM，它内部并联了2120个盖革模式的APD，并汇总到一路进行输出 SPAD的定义和结构 SPAD：Single Photon Avalanche Diode，它是一个工作在盖革模式下的雪崩光电二激管APD（Avalanche Photo Diode）；从名称上看，1个SPAD=1个APD进入盖革工作区域，单独1个SPAD仅仅输出的结果就是“无光子=0”或者“有光子=1”，如果1个SPAD进入2个或者多个光子，它也只能输出“有光子=1”的结果。但是自然界的光有强弱，强光环境下，为了获得多光子事件的信息，一般会把多个SPAD分成小组（binning），比如3*3（3横3纵）9个SPAD 作为一组进行使用，这样一个小组就具备了0-9的输出的组动态范围。 图2 上述图例来源 日本SONY公司开发的SPAD SOC产品的结构和DEMO点云展示图 图3 IMX459芯片简要规格书 比如我们拿市面上较为有代表性的SONY索尼发布的IMX459 TOF-SPAD传感器为例，纯SPAD是指代的红框部的物理层，它的直接感光区域构成，是一个由Vertical垂直方向168个SPADs，Horizontal水平方向上597个SPADs构成的阵列。597按照3*3一组使用，可以出199组数据，去掉部分边缘像素，再调转90°使用，这也是为什么目前出现了清一色的192线激光雷达的原因。如果按照6*6一组使用，则可以出现99.5组数据，这也是为什么出现了96线激光雷达的原因。（我们这里就清楚了，作为我们常说的SPAD方案，同一个sensor可以通过分bin模式改变等效线束）。 图4 上图每个颜色所代表的3*3都是基于SPAD的工作组，黑色中心表示输出电极，输出电极和SPAD像素数量一一对应。假设把3*3的一个区域可输出的信号合成1个统一读出，那它本质上等同于由9个SPAD构成的单通道SiPM。SPAD和SiPM的结构关系可以参考下图。 图5 SPAD 和 SiPM的结构关系 至此，我们可以明确地知道，SiPM和SPAD的最小的感光单元，都是单通道的盖革模式的雪崩二极管，从物理层面上完全是同样的东西。而SiPM是将成百数千个盖革雪崩二极管放在一起并起来，最后内置1个电极输出带有动态幅度分辨能力的模拟信号。而SPAD是将固定比例的N*N（一般都是3*3 =9个or 6*6=36个 ）的盖革雪崩二极管的通过电子学后的3*3 or 6*6 路的输出合并在一路以数字信号进行解析。 SiPM和SPAD更多的区别在于使用“前融合模拟量”还是用“后融合数字量”去获得有效信号。故此，SiPM更好还是SPADs（为了体现分组使用这个特点，笔者增加了一个小s代表多个SPAD一定分组使用）更好，更多的是取决于用户希望得到什么阶段程度的信息量，或者希望在激光雷达系统中，对什么信息施加什么类型的影响。那么这句话，如何更好的理解呢？ SiPM和SPAD对信号处理的过程 我们进一步看一下SiPM和SPADs对信号处理的过程。图6 SPAD和SiPM 感光层和电子学对应关系图 从左侧图可以看出，每个单独的电子学pad需要1对1的分布在每个SPAD的下方，同时电子学物理Size需要在SPAD Pixel尺寸以内，ASIC工艺节点也需要较为先进的工艺节点（成本较高）去支撑小尺寸的SPAD 阵列。从右图可以看出，SiPM直接连接到1个Pad上，单个SiPM的电子学ASIC功能可以不受单个SPAD像素尺寸的制约，工艺节点上相对成本更低。 从使用角度看，如何获得真实被测物体的反射光，并进一步解析呢？ 图6中左侧的SPADs依靠出厂配置好的电子学部分的处理能力，由于单独1个SPAD被激发有可能是噪声干扰，需要在一个组内识别至少2个像素以上（可以更多）的SPAD被同时激发的时候才可以被认为的真的信号。① 3路SPAD比较器分别识别该路SPAD是否接到回波光。通过内置的时间校正电路将接收到回波信号时间与相邻信道进行比较。当同时多个SPAD产生信号的时候，被认为是有真实的信号，时间校正电路中同时被激发SPAD数量可配置。② 当多个SPAD在同一时间检测信号时，这些信号视为信号。从其他通道延迟的信号被认为是噪声；③ 信号的时间用高精度TDC来测量。 图7 进一步解读，就是SPADs方案下，谁定义了电子学算法，谁可以决定激光雷达输出的原始结果。SiPM方案则是谁能更好对模拟量进行基于多路比较器的配置读出，谁可以定义激光雷达的输出的原始结果。那么在如何选择的问题上，可以通过询问自己“要获得的是芯片直接处理完毕的距离信息（SPADs）”or“要获得的是用户自己对距离信息获取过程的定义权（SiPM）”这两个的问题进行区分。这就是在两种方案之间做选择的金标准。 图14 SiPM电子学信号获取逻辑

上世纪30年代，一名英国化学家做了一项由好奇心驱动的观察，这个观察今天仍处于该化学物质安全性争论的中心。他注意到，合成化学物双酚基丙烷(BPA)能够较弱地模仿人体雌性激素。在接下来的数十年，BPA成为环氧树脂和聚碳酸酯塑料的普遍成分，被用于从塑封到塑料水瓶的各个地方，每年用量可达数百万吨。　　但BPA并不会原地不动。20世纪90年代，美国斯坦福大学研究人员发现塑料会渗透微量BPA。研究人员和公众已经在担心其他类似荷尔蒙的化合物会干扰内分泌系统，他们担心BPA的轨迹是否会造成一些危害。　　现在，测试已经在超过90%的美国人体内发现这种化学物质。但BPA污染依然处于争议之中。一个原因是研究曾产生冲突性的或非总结性的结论，这在部分程度上是因为内分泌系统的选择可能是细微的，而且很难确定。另一个原因是科学家和管理机构对于哪种研究能够最好地塑造政府对化学品的监管存在分歧。　　2014年，美国食药监局(FDA)对关于BPA潜在健康影响的161篇新研究做了审查。其目标是了解科学是否能对这种化合物的安全性做出明确判断，从而为监管人员照亮道路。汇集的证据包括发表于同行评议期刊的论文，其中很多文章发现的证据支持微量BPA能够改变人体的观点。然而，官方科学家则认为这些研究中的大多数对于制定政策没有价值。他们发现决定BPA剂量安全的足够引起注意的文章仅有4篇。但没有一篇文章报告小剂量的影响。　　现在，一些科学家和监管人员正在就如何弥补这一分歧全力以赴。其中最雄心勃勃的是由北卡罗来纳州国家环境健康科学研究所(NIEHS)领头的斥资3000万美元的一项计划。它正在让学术界和政府科学家联合他们的方法，以更好地了解BPA的潜在风险，并为评估化学物质的安全性提供新的模型。但这个项目遇到的各种颠簸，说明了它有多难。　　始于丑闻　　目前的僵局可追溯到1976年伊利诺伊州芝加哥市区一家充满老鼠的实验室。当时由于FDA一名病理学家怀疑其测试报告良好到有些不真实，联邦办公室于是开始调查这个名为产业生物监测的实验室。彼时，生物监测是美国最大的一家私人化学测试实验室，它被产业界用来尝试满足联邦安全标准。　　恶劣的实验室条件和被篡改的数据丑闻，随后引发对该公司3名顶级科学家的国会听证会和刑事定罪。它还促使美国政府采用《良好实验室管理规范》(GLP)。相关规范列出了广泛的监管、审查和做记录的要求，以确保实验室程序遵循流程，数据不会被捏造。　　对于在监管竞技场上工作的私人和政府实验室来说，GLP已经成为必要。但却鲜少有学界研究人员使用它，取而代之，他们会依赖资助机构、同行评议期刊和大学委员会对其工作的审核。“文字负担极度繁琐。”伊利诺伊大学再生毒理学家、参与上述大规模BPA研究的Jodi Flaws说，“我觉得大多数学界研究人员都是诚实的，会做良好的记录以重复实验。但我认为GLP报告是一个完全不同的水平。”　　随着20世纪80年代化学管理规范的成熟，这些实验室规则被拿来与新标准做对比，新标准说明了监管人员想看到评估一种特殊健康效应有哪些种类的验证，比如一种化学物质是否会导致癌症。今天，这些指导性测试有数百种，它们大多数由经济合作与发展组织(OECD)维护，这是一家由35个国家在二战后建立的位于法国巴黎的联盟。　　OECD起草研究指导规范的部门主任Bob Diderich说，监管者应该衡量证据，即便它并非来自按指导规范开展的研究。他表示，很难弄清楚如何应对利用前沿技术如独立基因组学开展的学术研究，它会建立基因活动中因为毒性化学物质而改变的模式。“它在真实世界中意味着什么?它如何转译为对人体和动物的影响?你在判断这些时存在困难。”Diderich说。　　科学审核　　FDA对关于小剂量BPA影响的科学应对方式说明了这两种研究之间存在鸿沟。　　2008年，该机构宣布人们从食物中吸收的BPA水平不会造成任何健康风险。它主要依赖两项根据GLP指导规范进行的研究，这两项研究并未发现低剂量摄入BPA会造成危害的证据，它们均由一家受塑料产业资助的私人实验室完成。从那时起，FDA就对新出现的研究评估了若干次。现在，它已经因为BPA对大脑、行为和前列腺的影响而表示担忧，但却并未改变其整体评估结果，即人们从食物中摄取到的剂量不会造成风险。而且，它还继续将很多学术研究划归为错误或不能用于制定监管标准的类别。　　马里兰州FDA毒理学家、主导这些观点的Jason Aungst说，尽管学界研究能够表现出“极大的灵活性”，但他们更多地聚焦在解释化学物质如何影响有机物的机制上，而不是测量一种化学物质的毒性有多大。“通常，当我们看到遵照指导规范的研究时，它们是已经验证过的研究，在多个实验室测试了很多次，并已经形成可重复性的结果，我们可以有信心地在安全水平上使用。”Aungst补充说。　　但一些学界研究人员说，规范指导研究依赖的是过期的测试方法。他们指出，越来越多的研究发现小剂量BPA会导致从焦虑到糖尿病等各种影响。例如，北卡罗莱纳州立大学神经毒理学家Heather Patisaul长期研究小鼠出生前接触微量BPA后对其神经系统产生的影响。通过观察大脑中的信使核糖核酸水平，她发现接触BPA的小鼠下丘脑和杏仁核(这些结构会影响生殖和行为)中含有更丰富的雌激素受体。　　弥合分歧　　NIEHS主任、内分泌学家Linda Birnbaum想知道是否能够通过让学界和FDA科学家合作结束这些纷争。　　“21世纪的研究和方法正在揭示人类生物学的影响和化学物质或药物的效用，而用一些指导性研究往往并不能得到明确结果。”Birnbaum回忆说。所以“我们提出了传统指导性研究中不会被问及的12个问题”。这个斥资3000万美元的项目名为“学术界和监管机构BPA毒性联合调查”(CLARITY-BPA)，于2012年启动。它跨越了12个高校实验室和阿肯色州FDA国家毒理学研究中心。在那里，实验室工作人员根据GLP规范内容饲养了3800多只大鼠，并让其中一部分接触BPA。　　相关结果正在逐渐形成。与此前的研究类似，若干所大学科学家说他们看到摄入少量BPA之后的影响。Patisaul的实验室又一次发现小剂量BPA影响大脑雌激素受体的证据。　　Birnbaum表示，“我们认为它(CLARITY)可以作为未来研究的一个模型。对于具有重要产业作用的一种大量使用的化合物来说，或者值得再次采取这种方法。”Birnbaum希望，通过学术工作和对同样大规模大鼠的新指导性研究(FDA计划在2018年公布结果)，最终能够对BPA的风险作出明确的结论。因为该研究是CLARITY项目的一部分，高校科学家从一开始就参加了研究设计。

今天，阿根廷于我有了特别的意义。它是盛瀚离子色谱产品出口的第35个国家，标志着盛瀚国际化道路再次迈出了坚实的一步。今天，让我们来读一读盛瀚海外事业部kevin老师的工作日记。part01 初 印 象 提起阿根廷，勾起你回忆的是不是小时候也曾穿着蓝白相间的球衣在球场驰骋？我从未去过阿根廷，甚至从未踏足过拉美大地，关于阿根廷的印象全部来自于电视和网络。那是离中国最远的国家，跨越了半个地球。那里有热情的探戈，有壮观的伊瓜苏大瀑布，有广袤的潘帕斯草原，还有一长串耳熟能详的名字：上帝之手马拉多纳、球王梅西、妖刀吉诺比利… … 想必那是一个如诗如画、如酒如歌的地方。而今天，阿根廷于我有了特别的意义。它是盛瀚离子色谱产品出口的第35个国家，标志着盛瀚国际化道路再次迈出了坚实的一步。＞＞2020.7.22 发货仪式part02 结 缘 在此之前，盛瀚已经出口到智利、巴西2个南美国家。阿根廷作为南美重要的经济体，在盛瀚全球版图上尚属空白。2019年年底，经合作伙伴介绍，我结识了现在的代理商gab。gab的公司是欧洲知名分析仪器在阿根廷的代理商，在当地小有名气。本来约好在德国慕尼黑展会上见面，受疫情影响，展会推迟，未能如愿。2月份我们刚刚复工那阵子，我和gab进行了第一次视频沟通。印象中的gab是一位热情的光头大叔，像极了我喜欢的马努吉诺比利，并不熟练的英语中夹杂着西班牙口音。通过视频，gab参观了我们的制造车间和应用实验室等，他不时地发出几声赞叹，认为盛瀚比想象中的更加专业专注。对此，我们早已能够坦然受之，近些年有太多的海外客户受限于地域和信息的不对称，并不了解中国的分析仪器现状，他们不知道的是：在中国，这个古老的东方文明古国，科学仪器厂商已经取得了长足的进步。part03 携 手 无独有偶，gab有一个客户春节后一直想上一台离子色谱，用于检测矿泉水中的溴酸盐。在这个领域，盛瀚已经有成熟的方案并树立了众多标杆客户，如娃哈哈、统一、康师傅等。尽管如此，竞争依然激烈。我们面临的对手是分析仪器领域的巨无霸，相比之下，我们显得非常弱小，在当地没有相关用户参考，知名度低… … 而我们能做的，就是不断证明自身实力，让客户相信中国制造。3月份，海外疫情爆发，项目暂时被搁置，在客户居家办公的日子里，我们与客户保持了良好的互动，提供了大量的分析数据和谱图，甚至沟通了在巴西的代理商，远程为客户做实验出数据。那段时间，盛瀚正在积极采购防疫物资支援全球合作伙伴，阿根廷的代理商和客户同样在援助之列。因为时差，经常需要在晚上沟通，客户常常惊讶于我们的回复效率“难道你们不睡觉嘛？”6月份，客户项目重启，我们再次进行了远程视频。经典机型cic-d120，搭配淋洗液发生器，现场为客户做了稳定性和线性数据。终于，客户露出满意的笑容，当即下单进行采购。part04 征 程 我一直坚信一件事情：我们在寻找合作伙伴的同时，这个世界上一定也有人正在寻找我们。我们努力一点点，就会早点相遇。

荷兰帕纳科公司是世界上最大的X-射线荧光光谱仪、X-射线衍射仪和相关软件及服务的供应商之一。帕纳科于Pittcon 2010上重磅推出一系列新产品，包括最新、顶级的X射线衍射仪平台——Empyrean、一套完整系列的波长色散X射线荧光系统等。新品介绍词中包含了“最新的”、“全功能”、“完整系列”等词语，虽然简短，带给我们的震撼却不小，那么其所指的是哪些新技术、新应用呢? 荷兰帕纳科公司亚太区业务总监Anant Bhide先生 　　值Pittcon 2010召开前夕，带着这些“疑问”，仪器信息网的工作人员于2010年2月23日赴深圳采访了帕纳科亚太区业务总监Anant Bhide先生，就新产品、新技术以及X射线分析仪器及技术的发展趋势、市场前景等问题进行了深入交流。同时接受采访的还有帕纳科亚太区XRD市场经理Aleksandar Stefanovic先生、中国区经理薛石雷先生。 荷兰帕纳科公司亚太区XRD市场经理Aleksandar Stefanovic先生 荷兰帕纳科公司中国区经理薛石雷先生 【新品推出篇】 顶级XRD -“Empyrean”：XRD的世界从此不再仅仅是平面图像 　　“这次帕纳科推出的Empyrean在许多方面都有创新的技术，其中最为重要的新技术为：所有XRD应用集合在一个平台上，尤其配备了首次推出的三维断层扫描PIXcel3D探测器。”Anant Bhide先生介绍。 X-射线衍射仪Empyrean 　　全功能：唯一能把“所有”的XRD技术集合在一个平台的系统 　　“Empyrean创建了一个新的平台，包括现在我们所知道的、未来所需要的所有XRD技术，这个平台几乎能够承载所有应用。”　　通过Aleksandar Stefanovic先生的介绍，我们发现Empyrean体现了多个“四”，例如：从射线类型角度看，不只可以进行衍射测定，还可以进行反射、散射(SAXS 和PDF)、断层扫描四种形式的测定 从分析对象角度看，在一台仪器上可以进行粉末、薄膜、纳米材料、3D物体四种样品的衍射测定，而不降低测定结果的质量 从空间角度看，可以进行0D、1D、2D、3D四种模式的检测。 　　PIXcel3D：世界首次推出的三维断层扫描探测器 　　作为XRD重要部分之一的探测器，10年前帕纳科推出了当时独有的技术-超能探测器X′Celerator，其主要用于1D探测，使探测强度、速度都提高了100倍。2008年帕纳科与全球最大的粒子物理实验室CERN合作，并唯一被允许使用X 射线探测器的先进技术-可用于0D、1D、2D和3D空间分析的矩阵探测器PIXcel。 三维断层扫描探测器PIXcel3D 　　“凭其良好的分辨率、动态范围，历经两年的时间，帕纳科将PIXcel发展成为三维断层扫描检测技术，即PIXcel3D探测器。PIXcel3D是Empyrean里最新、最独特的技术，是帕纳科独有的、XRD领域第一次推出的检测技术，是唯一提供了0D、1D、2D、3D四种模式的检测器，拥有最小的像素、最高的动态范围，使衍射能够非破坏性的查看固体物质的内部结构，高准确度定量检测如孔隙率等性能参数。”Anant Bhide先生介绍。 三维断层扫描探测器PIXcel3D功能简介 　　市场定位：“将更多向科研领域推广” 　　谈到Empyrean的潜在用户群如何定位，Anant Bhide先生说到，“帕纳科一直非常关注科研领域中X射线分析仪器的应用，Empyrean的推出为研究工作增加了更多可选择的技术，一定会引起相关研究领域工作者的极大兴趣，所以我们将更多地与科研领域的工作者分享我们的应用经验。” 　　“但是，并不意味着减少我们对过程控制和工业领域的关注，因为科研应用的成果会不断的被转化为工业应用，Empyrean可以满足半导体、制药、纳米材料、地质、生命科学等工业领域的应用需求。” 经典WDXRF -“Axios系列”：重新发布“升级版” 　　Axios系列是帕纳科在2004年推出的波长色散X荧光光谱仪(WDXRF)，已成为世界上最受用户欢迎的波长色散X射线荧光光谱仪。而此次帕纳科发布的众多新产品、新技术中，另一个重要举措是在保持Axios优异特性的基础上进一步扩展与升级。 　　Anant Bhide先生介绍，“帕纳科分析了WDXRF用户的类型及其关注焦点，并针对其中的两种类型用户推出了新的Axios系列WDXRF：Axios(1kW)、AxiosmAX。” 　　Axios(1kW)：环境友好型 　　日常分析的用户分析任务量较低，更多的考虑能量的消耗。针对此需求，在保持性能的基础上，帕纳科推出了可以内部冷却、低功耗的能耗节省、绿色型的Axios(1kW)系统。 　　AxiosmAX：应用适用于全系列XRF的新X射线光管 　　针对高通量、高质量要求的用户，帕纳科则推出了AxiosmAX系列，其应用了超尖锐X射线管的升级产品SST-mAX。 X射线管SST-mAX 　　Aleksandar Stefanovic先生介绍，“钨灯丝长期使用发生变化，引起X射线强度漂移，用户需要不断校正，是XRF使用中最‘头疼问题’，而SST-MAX应用了帕纳科独特的ZETA技术，使进行漂移校正和重新校准测量的频率大幅降低，从而提高系统正常运行时间，使测定结果更稳定、更可靠。该X射线管的窗口材料膜做的更薄，增加了强度，同时应用了CHI-BLUE涂层材料，可以抵抗任何泄露、腐蚀。” 【技术、市场展望篇】 帕纳科“点评一”：XRD技术发展趋势 　　“一个公司不可能单独完成X射线分析新技术的发展任务，同时还需要更多X射线仪器公司与科研院所合作，共同促进技术进步。”Aleksandar Stefanovic先生认为，XRD技术发展主要集中在以下几方面： 　　(1)X射线管：高通量、高质量 　　X射线源的发展是XRD技术整体发展的重要组成部分。目前对X射线管的要求可以归纳为以下几个关键点：高强度、环境友好、稳定的通量/强度、长的使用寿命。 　　(2)探测器：紧凑而高分辨、数据更快读出 　　探测器发展可以说是10年为一个周期，今年推出的三维断层扫描PIXcel3D探测器是新10年的开端，当然我们希望变革的时间更短，而探测器未来发展趋势可能体现在两个方面，一是将会在保持高分辨率的同时变的越来越小，即“小而高分辨” 另一个是数据的更加快速的读出，但可能会受到电子元件行业发展的限制。 　　(3)应用软件：集成各种分析功能、高度灵活、自动化、容易操作 　　由于不同的应用配置和分析任务的复杂性，应用软件的发展是影响XRD技术发展的另一个关键因素。软件必须能够满足不同领域的用户，包括仪器操作者到顶尖科学家的需求，需要集成各种分析功能，并且高度灵活、自动化、容易操作。 帕纳科“点评二”：XRD市场前景 　　相较于市场需求增长非常快的色谱、质谱等分析领域，目前的XRD市场发展比较温和。Anant Bhide先生指出，预计在未来几年XRD市场将稳步增长，并且主要的需求增长来自于以下几个领域： 　　首先，现代通讯、媒体和信息技术仍然强烈地依赖于新的固体功能材料的发展，即不同类型的半导体 其次，XRD仍是固体材料定性的最好的、最有力的方法，这意味着，XRD在现在以及将来、在R&D以及工业过程/产品控制领域都是主要的、不可替代的方法。如果再考虑到对高效、环保的能源(例如太阳能电池)和可以重复使用的能源(例如二次电池)需求增加，XRD市场前景将变得更加稳定。 　　同时，XRD正日益被过去没有使用或并不依赖于XRD的传统工业所接受，这种变化主要来自于水泥、钢铁、采矿等工业，其追求高质量产品(附加值)的需求日益升高，而XRD为产品质量改进提供了独特的深度信息，而制药业对XRD的需求还来自法规监管的要求。 　　另一个对XRD有着很高的希望和期待的重要应用领域，是未来的纳米材料和纳米技术领域。在这一领域XRD是其研发所需的关键技术，预计这种需求将在未来几年继续保持。 帕纳科“点评三”： XRF技术发展趋势 　　Anant Bhide先生谈到，“近年来，XRF技术发展主要集中在能量色散X荧光光谱仪(EDXRF)方面。” 　　(1)EDXRF：“紧凑”、车载、在线 　　过去常常要求一台XRF可以分析所有元素、既可以分析低浓度样品也可以分析高浓度样品 但未来的EDXRF则将发展为“紧凑”的仪器，即为特殊应用量身定制，不同的应用对应不同的EDXRF，目前在一些低端应用领域已经出现了这种仪器。 　　过去是拿着样品到实验室去测，现在以及将来是“拎着”仪器到现场检测，即使是海拔5000米的地区也可以带着车载EDXRF去现场检测。并且，将来也完全可以实现EDXRF的在线自动化检测。 　　(2)WDXRF：重点集中于软件 　　WDXRF的发展趋势主要集中在软件方面，如：帕纳科新推出的无标样定量分析软件Omnian。如果没有参照物，XRF只能是半定量的分析手段。然而随着越来越复杂的环境样品、食品样品、新材料等的出现，很难发现或配置出其标准样品，而Omnian的推出使用户在没有标准样品的情况下也能得到准确的测量结果。 　　最后，针对XRF的市场前景，Anant Bhide先生说到，“随着‘紧凑’EDXRF和无标样定量分析软件技术的发展，几乎所有工业领域都可以应用XRF，如：化妆品里一些重金属元素分析，奶粉里营养成分钙、铁元素分析等，XRF市场前景会越来越好。” 薛石雷先生(左)、Anant Bhide先生(中)、Aleksandar Stefanovic先生(右) 后记 　　Anant Bhide先生介绍到，帕纳科新产品研发主要受新技术、市场需求这两个重要因素影响。新技术分两个阶段：经过一个大周期，例如十年，帕纳科会推出一些革命性创新的新技术 期间，研发部门将不断的进行一些改良。然而所有的新技术都离不开市场需求，帕纳科不断了解用户的需求，同时与一些重要的研究机构保持良好的合作关系，从中得到真正的市场或分析技术对分析仪器的重要需求，帕纳科将根据用户的需求持续发展所需的技术和新产品。 　　采访编辑：刘丰秋 　　附录1：荷兰帕纳科公司亚太区业务总监Anant Bhide 先生简介 　　Anant Bhide 先生，荷兰帕纳科公司亚太区业务总监 　　教育经历：印度新德里，印度理工大学，电子技术工程学士学位 　　专业经验：1975年进入飞利浦印度科学工业产品部门，后任成为飞利浦售后服务工程师，负责印度X 射线分析和发射光谱的产品管理和销售支持。八十年代中期，就任飞利浦分析仪器荷兰总部发射光谱国际销售支持经理 　　随后从90年代早期，任印度和东南亚(总部设在马来西亚)销售和业务经理，目前，任帕纳科亚太区业务总监。 　　附录2：荷兰帕纳科公司亚太区XRD产品经理Aleksandar Stefanovic先生简介　　Aleksandar Stefanovic 先生，荷兰帕纳科公司亚太区XRD产品经理 　　学历：曾就读于克罗地亚萨格勒布大学化学专业和英国苏格兰格拉斯哥大学就读 X射线晶体学专业，获得博士学位 　　研究经验：在晶体化学，无机，有机，无机化合物和金属催化剂的结构模型 应用新的辐射源等方面做过研究 　　工作经验：具有企业发展，规划，合作，项目管理，售前，销售和售后支持的工作经验，现任帕纳科亚太区XRD产品经理。 　　附录3：荷兰帕纳科公司中国区经理薛石雷先生简介 　　薛石雷先生，荷兰帕纳科公司中国区经理 　　1981年北京化工大学获得学士、继而取得硕士学位并留校任教 　　1992年加入美国铂金埃尔默公司，先后担任产品支持、产品经理，业务经理 　　1999年加入荷兰飞利浦公司，曾任飞利浦中国区产品经理 市场经理 现任帕纳科中国区经理。 　　附录4：荷兰帕纳科公司 　　http://panalytical.instrument.com.cn 　　http://www.panalytical.com.cn/ 　　http://www.panalytical.com/

从ADAS应用到关键组件 – SPAD扮演的重要角色ADAS的种类与主要组成　　什么是ADAS？从字面来看，ADAS就是Advanced Driver Assistance Systems的缩写，翻译成中文，就是先进驾驶辅助系统。既然ADAS是『辅助系统』，自然可知它与『自动驾驶』存有程度上的差异。但若换一个角度来看，ADAS系统的发展却也是我们迈向自动驾驶终极目标的必经之路。 从功能面来看，现今ADAS主要包括了：自适应巡航控制系统(Adaptive Cruise Control, ACC)：此功能是在传统定速巡航的基础上，采用雷达/光达探测前方车辆与本车的相对距离和相对速度，主动控制本车行驶速度，以达到自动跟车巡航的目的。根据前方是否有车辆，系统可以在定速巡航和跟车巡航之间自动切换。车载导航系统(Car Navigation System)：透过接收GPS (Global Positioning System)与TMC (Traffic Message Channel)的讯号，再加上安装在汽车上的地磁式方向传感器、陀螺传感器、车速传感器等用来测定汽车的行动轨迹，经过ECU运算，即能确认车辆在地球上的位置。车道偏离警示系统(Lane Departure Warning System, LDWS)：利用安装在前挡风玻璃上之摄影机，测量车辆前方的道路标线，并实时计算车辆与车道线的相对距离、道路斜率与曲率等参数，当驾驶者不经意偏离车道时，适时给予警讯，让驾驶者实时修正车辆行驶方向，甚至会主动尝试将车辆导回到原本的车道上，降低车祸发生的机率。盲点侦测系统(Blind Spot Detection)：典型的盲点侦测系统使用安装在汽车两侧的电子侦测装置(通常在左右后照镜周围或是后保险杆周围)，透过电磁波/雷达波/超音波来感应，或是用摄影机拍摄画面。当其中一个传感器侦测到盲点区内有物体时，会透过灯光﹅ 声音或屏幕影像警告驾驶，避免贸然变换车道，造成事故。前车防撞警示系统(Front Collision Avoidance System, FCWS)：以镜头结合雷达侦测并利用特殊算法计算即将与前车碰撞的时间，若系统判断车距过近，本车与前方车辆未保持适当安全距离，与即将有碰撞风险时，系统透过警示灯闪烁，并发出警报音提醒驾驶人减速，以减少追撞意外对乘员的伤害。行人侦测系统(Pedestrian Detection)：以立体摄影机结合雷达侦测前方区块，掌握前方行人及其运动模式。当可能有碰撞风险时，系统会发出警示符号与警告音提醒驾驶人因应。若未能实时反应，更先进的系统将启动煞车辅助。甚至，若系统判断煞车过急，系统更将发出指令，束紧车内安全带、立直椅背以减低冲撞伤害。　　此外，包括：紧急煞车系统﹅ 头灯自动启闭系统﹅ 自动停车辅助系统﹅ 夜视系统﹅ 侧风稳定系统﹅ 驾驶疲劳侦测系统…等，也都属于ADAS的范畴，在此不再一一赘述。　　从系统架构面来看，ADAS主要由三大模块组成：传感器﹅ 处理器与制动器。传感器(Sensor)：用以侦测各种外界的讯号，如：超音波(Ultrasound)、雷达(Radar)、光达(LiDAR)﹅ 摄影机(Camera)等等，主要用于侦测距离的远近。其功能与应用可由图1一目了然。图1 因应ADAS不同的功能需求而采用的感测技术总览处理器(Processor)：处理接收进来的讯号，在汽车里称为「电子控制单元 (Electronic Control Unit, ECU)」，做出适当的分类与处理，再向致动器输出控制讯号。常见如：微处理器(MPU)、数字信号处理器 (DSP)。致动器(Actuator)：控制各种致动的装置，依照处理器传送过来的控制讯号，让相关的装置完成运作。如：启动自动煞车使汽车停止前进、启动屏幕显示警告讯息、启动蜂鸣器发出警示音等。LiDAR的用途与相关技术　　LiDAR的英文全名为Light Detection And Ranging，中文称为『光达』或『激光雷达』。可应用于先进驾驶辅助系统(ADAS)的自适应巡航控制系统﹅ 紧急煞车系统﹅ 行人侦测系统与前车防撞警示系统等，其主要功能为精准测距。　　光达基本是由雷射光源、光传感器和成像机构等3部分组成。雷射光源一般采用半导体雷射；光传感器一般是用光电二极管(Photodiode, PD)或雪崩光电二极管(Avalanche photodiode, APD)；成像机构则分为扫描式或非扫描式的成像机构。在车用光达常用的距离量测方法就是利用飞行时间(Time of Flight, ToF)技术。关于ToF技术，将在本文下一个章节加以说明。　　目前自驾车的发展，依据『是否采用LiDAR』的选择，分为两个门派：第一个派系是以特斯拉(Tesla)为首的阵营。此门派只以毫米波雷达与摄影机为主，不使用LiDAR。第二个门派则以Google为首。Google不只使用毫米波雷达与摄影机，更使用Velodyne H64E的光达，拍摄360度3D影像。　　Tesla阵营决定不使用LiDAR的原因是其成本太过昂贵。然而，从近十年两个阵营累计的实际案例来看：Tesla自驾车发生了一些严重车祸案例；而Google自驾车在经历了超过300万英哩的实际测试后，仅发生十余起的轻微擦撞事故。另外，从功能面来看，光达可以提供0.1度角分辨率，100公尺测距和5~10Hz的画面更新率。这让世界各地许多从事自驾车发展的团队，普遍有一个共识，那就是：依现今自驾技术水准，未使用LiDAR作为传感器的自驾车，达到Level 2~3的标准没有问题；但若要达到Level 4~5，亦即达到『高度自驾』甚至是『完全自驾』的程度，就非使用LiDAR不可。LiDAR对于自动驾驶的发展如此重要，这也促使产品必须朝向更低成本﹅ 更耐用与更安全的方向发展，具体项目如下：发展全固态LiDAR：当一个带有旋转扫描机构与驱动马达的模块，装置在需耐受天候并时常遭遇到震动与惯性变化的车辆时，此模块的耐用程度就会遭受到极大的挑战。所以将整个模块全固态化，免除旋转扫描机构与驱动马达，就能有效提升LiDAR的耐用度。采用单光子雪崩二极管(Single Photon Avalanche Diode, SPAD)作为传感器：当单光子雪崩二极管传感器偏压超过崩溃区，其光子产生的电子受到高电场加速撞击，又产生许多电子，这些撞击产生电子又受到电场加速，又撞击产生更多的电子，这样的连锁雪崩效应所产生的电子增益非常大，所以只要有单光子就可以引发超过阈值(threshold)的电子讯号。SPAD造就了新款LiDAR对光线感知非常敏感的优点，也让LiDAR模块可以采用较低功率 & 较低成本的雷射光源。改用更长波长的雷射光源：基于成本与功率考虑，目前多数LiDAR使用的雷射光源是905 nm雷射，但是905 nm波段不在人眼安全的波段范围内。一般人眼安全的波段是指大于1400 nm的波段，因为在可见光与波长小于1400 nm的红外光会聚焦在视网膜，容易对视网膜造成永久伤害。改用1400 nm以上的雷射作为光源，对人身健康安全才更有保障。将LiDAR的发射器﹅ 接收器与扫描透过半导体制程整合到芯片上：将雷射与传感器一起长在芯片上，将可大幅度缩小体积﹅ 减轻重量，并符合LiDAR模块全固态化的要求。除此之外，芯片化的设计使其扫描速度比机械式扫描快了千倍以上，并能大幅降低成本，有效提升产品的性价比。iToF 与 dToF 的差别　　ToF是Time of Flight的缩写，也就是飞行时间。当我们得知光的飞行时间，将光速乘以飞行时间就可以计算出距离。例如：光飞行一年的距离称为一光年。　　将ToF技术细分，可分为两种：(1) iToF (Indirect Time of Flight)间接飞行时间技术；(2) dToF (Direct Time of Flight)直接飞行时间技术。欲实现这两种技术都需要有发射端与接收端，其差别主要在于计算距离的公式不同。　　iToF技术的发射端使用的是调制光，具备特定的周期与振幅。当这个特定调制的入射光从物体表面反射回来，接收器就会接收到相同周期的反射光，但这入射光与反射光两者之间存在着一个相位的延迟。当我们测得此相位差延迟了几个周期，就能透过下列公式计算出距离。dToF的光源一般采用脉冲光(Pulsed Light)，脉冲光指的是在一个极短时间内发出的光束，dToF的传感器在脉冲光发射出去的时候记录当下的时间，并与接收到反射光的时间计算出时间差(∆ t)，然后直接将时间差乘上光速除以2就计算出了物体与车子之间的距离。　　那么，iToF与dToF各有什么优缺点呢？我们可以从下表的详细比较得知。不过，在此先下个小结论：短期而言，iToF技术挟着CMOS成本优势，应可占有一定的市场份额。但随着SPAD制程技术的持续演进，预期dToF技术的成本将可获得大幅改善。届时dToF技术在侦测距离的优势，将会占据更多市场份额与产品应用。什么是SPAD？　　SPAD就是单光子雪崩二极管(Single Photon Avalanche Diode)的缩写，称为单光子累崩二极管，是一种半导体光侦测器。当我们在SPAD两端施加更高的反向偏置电压(硅材料通常为100-200 V)，此时光子进入硅材料后，利用电离碰撞(雪崩击穿)的效应，可以获得大约100倍的内部电流增益，进而引发连锁倍增效应。这时候的电流就会非常大，能够很轻易的被电路侦测到。在制程上，透过掺杂技术的不同，可以让SPAD允许施加更高的电压而不会被击穿，从而获得更大的增益。一般来说，反向电压越高，增益越大。 图2 单光子雪崩二极管倍增效应示意图　　SPAD主要用于光达(LiDAR)和长距离光纤通信，此外，也开始被用于正电子断层摄影和粒子物理等领域。SPAD数组也已被商业化，比较知名的制造商包括：索尼(SONY)﹅ 意法半导体(STMicroelectronics)与安森美(ON Semiconductor)…等。

自Spark Lasers公司推出ALCOR 920系列920nm飞秒光纤激光器以来，该系列产品就成为脑科学双光子显微成像系统主要使用的光纤飞秒激光器。凭借其高功率、窄脉宽、高稳定性、免维护等特性，ALCOR 920不仅成为传统钛蓝宝石飞秒激光器的高性价比替代产品，也成为同类产品的市场引领者。 ALCOR 920采用了Spark Lasers最新的HPC® 技术（High Pulse Contrast），功率有了进一步提高，同时脉冲形状也得到了优化。与前一代产品相比，ALCOR 920-1的平均功率从之前的1W提高到了1.5W；ALCOR 920-2的平均功率从之前的2W提高到了2.5W。ALCOR 920-4仍提供高达4W的平均功率，是目前市面上920nm飞秒光纤激光器中输出光功率最高的产品。图1 ALCOR系列产品主要参数列表 飞秒激光器作为双光子显微成像系统的核心部件之一，对系统成像效果是至关重要的。那么，如果想要得到好的成像效果，应该怎么办呢？我们有方法：1. 选择高峰值功率的激光器由于双光子效应是与光子密度正相关的非线性效应，越高的峰值功率就意味着越多的荧光分子能够同时吸收两个光子到达激发态，并在跃迁至基态的过程中发出荧光，也就是说最终被探测器采集到的荧光信号也就越强，最终生成的图像亮度和对比度也就越高。峰值功率的计算方式可以由下面的公式计算得出：例如，标准款ALCOR 920-2的平均功率为2.5W，重复频率为80MHz，脉冲宽度为100fs，那么ALCOR 920-2的峰值功率就高达312.5kW。 假如有一款飞秒激光器脉冲宽度只能做到150fs，平均功率和重复频率却能和ALCOR 920-2一样，那么会有什么影响呢？我们通过计算可以得到，这款激光器的峰值功率仅有208kW，仅有ALCOR 920-2的66.6%，这也就意味着相应的荧光强度也会有很大幅度的降低。同样地，假如有另一款产品，脉冲宽度也能达到100fs，但是平均功率却比较低，那么其峰值功率也是比较低的。 图2 使用低脉冲质量的激光器和Spark Lasers的高质量脉冲激光器的最终图像对比 2. 使用色散预补偿得到最优化的脉冲宽度然而，拥有一台激光器只是搭建双光子显微成像系统的第一步。由于成像系统内部有很多光学元器件，如反射镜、滤光片、光强调制器、空间光调制器、分光棱镜、物镜等等，而这些光学元器件中的大部分都会引入正色散，导致飞秒脉冲激光到达测量点处的过程中发生展宽，即脉冲宽度变宽。在上面的计算中我们可以看出，脉冲宽度变宽会导致激光峰值功率的下降，会在很大程度上降低荧光光强，以至于最终的图像亮度和对比度会变差。 ALCOR 920系列在激光头内部集成了色散预补偿模块，可以在激光发射时就带有负色散，这些负色散可以在激光脉冲传播过程中和光学器件引入的正色散相互抵消，从而使得在测量点处，脉冲宽度能保持比较窄。 标准款ALCOR带有0～-60000fs2的大色散补偿范围，同时提供0～-90000fs2的超大色散补偿范围选配，可以满足大部分双光子显微成像系统对色散补偿要求，甚至是最复杂的系统。根据我们的经验，一般复杂程度的双光子显微成像系统对色散补偿的要求在-30000fs2～-50000fs2。3. 对功率进行调制和精确控制ALCOR 920可提供XSight选配模块，即集成化内置AOM模块，以满足双光子显微成像系统对激光实现光强的开/关调制或模拟调制来实现复杂的功能的需要。内置模块可以在很大程度上节省光学平台的空间以及在光路中调试外置调制器的时间精力，同时，该模块能够提供：超高精度光强调节（分辨率高达0.1%）高带宽模拟调制（0～1MHz）高速光开关（上升/下降沿关于昊量光电：上海昊量光电设备有限公司是光电产品专业代理商，产品包括各类激光器、光电调制器、光学测量设备、光学元件等，涉及应用涵盖了材料加工、光通讯、生物医疗、科学研究、国防、量子光学、生物显微、物联传感、激光制造等；可为客户提供完整的设备安装，培训，硬件开发，软件开发，系统集成等服务。
