美国防部宣布出资5000万美元支持85所大学采购仪器设备
近日,美国防部宣布,根据国防大学研究仪器计划(DURIP), 将在2021财年为85家机构的150名研究人员提供总额5000万美元的研究经费,支持其购买仪器设备,加速推进量子科学、材料设计、研发和定性、机器学习、高超音速等领域的研究。DURIP是美国防部推出的年度经费支持计划,面向开展国防相关基础科学和工程研究的高等教育机构研究人员,主要通过支持购买大型研究设备提升其研究教学能力,推动高校开展前沿研究,从而增强美国在科技发展及科工人才培养方面的优势。该计划由空军科学研究办公室、陆军研究办公室和海军研究所联合管理并负责项目筛选。美国防部表示,这项工作将使美国大学能够进行最先进的研究,从而提高美国的技术优势以及军事能力,同时确保美国的科学、技术、工程和数学人才保持领先地位。2021财年获资项目包括加州大学伯克利分校拟开展的二维量子材料磁共振成像研究、得州大学圣安东尼分校开展的高超音速、高温和超音速流中的高速成像研究、加州大学圣芭芭拉分校开展的量子光子计算试验台研究等。2021财年获资项目Principal
