Press Release New Look Series 2000 Near Infrared Transmission Analyser The Series 2000 Near Infrared Transmission Analyser is a powerfulspectrophotometer designed for use in the pharmaceutical， petrochemical， plastics，polymers， textiles， chemical， bio-fuels， dairy and agriculture industries. The new lookSeries 2000 NIT Analyser has been released to coincide with Pittcon 2013. The Series 2000 is a diode array spectrometer that uses a selection of sample cellsto collect near infrared transmission spectra through liquid， suspensions andemulsions， such as lotions and creams. The Series 2000 scans the wavelengthrange from 720-1100nm in transmission and transflectance modes. Organicmolecules containing O-H， C-H and N-H bonds exhibit strong NIR absorbance bandswithin this region of the electromagnetic spectrum. The Series 2000 is available as the base spectrometer and several applicationspecific analysers. Series 2000 Tablet Analyser has been configured to analyse tablets foruniformity， coating thickness， active incipient and authentication. Series 2000 Creams and Lotions Analyser is configured to analyse creams，ointments and lotions for moisture， lanolin， petroleum jelly， active components，alcohol，stabilizers and emulsifiers. Series 2000 Olive Analyser has been configured specifically to measure oil andmoisture in ground olives and pumice. Series 2000 Dairy Analyser offers the ability to analyse cheese， milk powderand yogurt as well as raw and homogenized milk. The Series 2000 NIT Analysers can be operated using a PC or as a free standinginstrument. A comprehensive software package， NTAS(NIR Technology AnalysisSoftware)， provides a means of developing Partial Least Squares(PLS) calibrationsto be used for quantitative methods of analysis. NTAS also provides qualitativeanalysis for use in identifying raw materials. As well， an optional built-in printer isavailable.
