In November 2011， the 1000th CropScan has been produced. The CropScan range of Near Infrared Transmission analysers provide a rapid means ofmeasuring protein， moisture and oil in cereals and oil seeds. The CropScan range wasoriginally developed to provide farmers and small，independent grain buyers with NIRanalysers that are rugged， transportable and cost effective. Over the last 11 years the product range has expanded to include the CropScan Loren 1000GOn Farm Analyser， the CropScan 1000B Whole Grain Analyser， the CropScan 2000B NITAnalyser， the CropScan 2000H ON Header Analyser and the CropScan 2000S On SiloAnalyser. These analysers are built around a unique diode array spectrometer that iscompact， rugged and stable. The diffraction grating used in this spectrometer is made usinga holographic projection and photolithography. This procedure has ensured that allCropScan analysers are optically similar. By using a simple transfer algorithm it has beenpossible to align all spectrometers to a master instrument on which calibrations aredeveloped. As a result， the ability to transfer calibrations from instrument to instrument isan excellent feature of the CropScan range. The CropScan range was originally designed for Australian farmers， however approximately60% of production has been sold overseas. CropScan analysers have been sold into Italy，Japan， China，India， South Africa， Brazil， USA， Canada，UK， France， Hungary， Ukraine， Korea，Romania， Belgium and other countries.
