Fromourlatestresearchefforts(seeposter070insessionTP04fordetails)weproposethatsuchamodeldrivendesignprocessispossibleandfeasible.
Toanalyzethecurrentstateofthetech-nologyandtoproofthatCFDisausefultoolevenforcomplexfluiddynamicalproblems,wesimulatedthegasflowinacommerciallyavailableAPionsource(BrukerMPIS)andvalidatedtheflowsimulationswithappro-priateexperimentalmethods.
Inthiscontributionwepresenttheactualflowsimulation,anexperimentalverification,andadetaileddiscussionoftheresults.
