Results段落是客观地讲述实验结果，一般不加讨论和解释．写作方法应注意以下几点:

1. 用过去语句.

2. 有的学科只用文字来讲述实验结果，但大部分学科往往添加 Figure 和Table来帮助组织数据.

3. Figure 和Table 要分别给予序号, 不统一排序.

4. Table 要有个题目，题目就写在Table的上方. 注解文字写在Table的下方. Table有时需要照排版，所以草稿中的Table要单独成页. Table 应该附在稿件的后面, 如放在References之后．例如:

The affinity of ligands for melanocortin receptors in HEK cell membrane was measured by inhibition of [¹²⁵I]-MSH binding, as described in Methods. a, CHO cell line was used.

5. 也是考虑到排版的需要, 杂志要求草稿中的每个 Figure 要单独占一页，并且这一页只是Figure，把序号写在Figure页的背面. Figure应该附在稿件的后面，如放在References之后. 例如:

6. Figure的说明(Figure Caption) 要单独写, 不同Figure放在一起，一般可以放在Refences部分之前或之后. 但不同Figure的说明可以排在一起. Figure说明中只写介绍Figure的文字，不对Figure的结果进行解释．例如上面Figure例子的说明：

7. 方程式一般给一个序号，写在方程的右边的括号中, 例如:

The distance traveled is given by S:

where v is velocity and t is time.
