The anion exchange membranes (AEMs) containing positive ionic groups (typically quaternary ammonium groups : ―N+R3) are widely studied as electrolytes. Unlike conventional DMFCs using proton exchange membranes, non-platinum catalysts such as Pd or Ag can be used for ADMFCs[2, 3].
