SU9516 kills leukemic cells through inhibition of RNA Pol II CTD phosphorylation, oxidative damage and transcriptional down-regulation of Mcl-1. In human T-cell leukemia Jurkat cells, SU9516 significantly enhances sensitivity to methotrexate.
