1. “Although some detail has been lost in reproduction, it is clear from the original micrograph that xxx”,从显微图片是绝对看不出来的。 2. 这个也很常见“While it has not been possible to provide definite answers to these questions”,就是说“我确实没有做出实验结果，但是没有这个结果，我也能发表的是吧”。 3. 还有“Three of the samples were chosen for detailed study...”，“实验没少做，不过就三个结果不错，其他的都不make sense啊，就当没见过啊没见过”。 4. “xxx accidentally strained during mounting”,估计染色的时候掉地上了吧！ 5. “handled with extreme care throughout the experiments”,这个样本绝对没有掉到地上过! 6. “It might be argued that xxx”,“哈哈，这个问题我知道怎么回答哦，而且还是对我们非常有利的解答，所以我一定要把这个问题讲一下，才能衬托我的学识和水平嘛”。 7.。“High purity / Very high purity / Extremely high purity / Super purity”，“试剂供应商说啥就是啥吧，具体成分谁知道啊”。 8. “Presumably at longer times xxx”,“谁爱做谁做吧，我是没空研究更长时间的结果了”。 9. “xxx be of great theoretical and practical importance”，“我是感兴趣啊，别人是不是有兴趣，偶不知道呢”。 10. “xxx be as good as could be expected”,“xxx不一定存在哦”。 11. “These results will be reported at a later date”,“等大爷空了，可以抽时间做做，不过不保证哦”。 12. 这个大家都很常用的，“It is suggested that xxx / It is believed that xxx / It may be that xxx”, 其实都是“我觉得”的意思，至于是不是这么回事，天知道吧。 13. “It is generally believed that xxx”，“这事儿又不只是我觉得，别人也是这么认为呢，应该没错了”。 14. “The agreement with the predicted curve is good”，“其实模拟的曲线不太好用啊”。 15. “It is clear that much additional work will be required before a complete understanding that xxx”,“我是不懂啊，谁来给解释解释呢”。 16. “Unfortunately, a quantitative theory to account for these effects has not been formulated”,“这事儿不止我们做不出来，别人也做不出来呢”。 17. “It is to be hoped that this work will stimulate further work in the field”,“我这个文章确实做得不够好，不过这个领域这么奇葩，别人做得也不怎么样啊”。 18. “Thank A for assistance with the experiments and B for valuable discussions”，“虽然实验都是A童鞋做的，但是没有B童鞋还真解释不出来这坨东西是神马意思呢”。 19. “The agreement with the predicted curve is excellent”，“我的结果还凑合啊”。 20.“要是有人形容某个结果为“satisfactory”，那就是说这个结果不一定靠谱啊。 21.Typical results are shown that xxx”，“这就是我们的最好结果了!” 22.我们看paper都看过人家写“It has long been known that xxx”，这句话的潜台词就是说“大爷这么忙，才没有空去查过原始文献呢，差不多就是这么回事吧”。 今天的take home message呢，就是告诉我们写作SCI论文时不要说些模棱两可的话，你不确定就不要写上去吖，就算是推测都要依据实验结果的。当然啦，要是有需要表达“潜台词”的时候，以上句子请随便借鉴。
