Allow to cool for two minutes in a bath of iced water. // 4.4.4.2 // Transfer into 50-ml separating funnels containing 10 ml of butan-1-ol (4.2.4). Rinse each flask with 3 to 5 ml of water. Shake the mixture vigorously for exactly 30 seconds. Allow it to separate. // 4.4.4.3. // Filter the butan-1-ol phase into the measurement cells (4.3.2) through a phase-separation filter.
