How do you remember the word? Especially the English vocabulary?

死记硬背下来的

i only remember few words .
and i want to remember about 7000 words but i realize it is very difficult

sometimes by rote and sometimes associate

read and recite again and again.

I'm used to remembering words in sentences.

It is a headache business for me to learn vocabulary as I am not a good memory. Memory words in context is a good way, repeat ooes work sometime or may be suitable for someones.
