职位名称:应用科学家 职位描述/要求:职位描述: (Objective of the position) Predict, develop, and market the application potentials of Campbell Scientific Inc (CSI) instruments in China. Train and work with dealers in China market to ensure scientific proficiency and to seize market and research opportunities. Coordinate and assist the development of CSI instrument applications in China that is conducted by CSI Research and Development Department, Micrometeorology Department and/or other departments. Lead projects of the development of CSI instrument applications in China. Play a role as a member of the CSI headquarter team in their systematic instrument approach to development of hardware and software for applications in China.
任职条件:(Qualifications) • Ph.D. or equivalent recognition in environment-related fields. Education backgrounds with a 211-project university, a national academy (e.g. Chinese Academy of Meteorology), or a foreign institution in a developed country. • Employment records in faculty or equivalent position with a 211-project university or a national academy or in a postdoctoral or visiting scholar position at least two years with a foreign institution in a developed country. • Clear and traceable demonstrations of ability in theories of micrometeorology (boundary-layer meteorology, agricultural and forest meteorology, climate, or atmospheric sciences), technical expertise in a CO2/H2O/other-trace-gas flux instrumentation system, and skills in programing using one or more computer languages, CRbasic programming in particular. • Fundamental knowledge in electronic physics, optical physics, matrix theory, probability theory, statistical analysis theory, atmospheric thermodynamic theory, Fourier transform theory, and partial differential equation theory. • Clear communication ability in Mandarin and trainable communication ability in English. Logical writing skills in English. Social communication skills and behaviors that are favorable to both Chinese and American etiquettes and culture.
工作职责:(Responsibility) • Write papers, posters, seminars, product manuals, marketing literature, and application notes on micrometeorological measurements. • Attend technical conferences to interact with fellow scientists and research micrometeorological applications. • Mentor, supervise, and review the work of fellow employees. • Assist in educating dealers and cooperate on research and marketing efforts. • Support clients on difficult and unique micrometeorology applications. • Write and troubleshoot Campbell Scientific datalogger programs to support product development and customer applications. • Other responsibilities assigned by supervisor. • Evaluate measurement tradeoffs of performance and cost. • Assist strategic planning to develop new micrometeorology instrumentation. • Educating clients in the use of CSI dataloggers and peripherals for micrometeorology applications. • Configure datalogger systems, supported by price quotes. • Assist clients in identifying and addressing problems with datalogger hardware and software. • Respond to telephone and written inquiries from existing and potential clients. • Ability to recognize changes in scientific methods, applications, markets and specify product needs/changes in order to keep products competitive.
