5.3 Colors
Figures 1 and 2 can be in any prominent colors. A molded mark can be in the same color as the mold material.
5.4 Specifications
5.4.1 Mark Specifications
The ratios of Figures 1 and 2 are shown in Figures 3 and 4. The digits (number) in Figure 2 are used for demo purpose only. They should be replaced with the actual environment-friendly use period of the product. The ratios of the height of the digits, the inner diameter of the circle, and the outer diameter of the circle are 5:8:12.

5.4.2 Mark Specifications
A manufacturer or an importer should choose a proper size of a mark based on the size of the electronic information product and its components. The minimum size of the mark is 5x5mm2.
5.5 Marking Requirements
5.5.1 Adding a mark as shown in Figure 1: the mark for the control of pollution caused by electronic information products can be molded, sprayed, affixed, and printed directly to the products or indicated in the product instruction manual.
5.5.2 Adding a mark as shown in Figure 2: If the maximum surface area is greater than 5x103 mm2 with regular shape, the mark for the control of pollution caused by electronic information products shall be molded, sprayed, affixed, and printed directly to the electronic information products. If the maximum surface area is less than 5x103 mm2 or irregular shape, the mark for the control of pollution caused by electronic information products doesn’t need to be directly marked on the product. It shall be indicated in the product instruction manual.
Note: extreme thin wires and cables with large surface area are examples of irregular shape.
5.6 Mark Location
The mark for the control of pollution caused by electronic information products must be labeled in a prominent location of the product, such as the front, the side, and the back of the product. If a mark cannot be labeled in a prominent location of the product due to the function or exterior design, etc., a mark shall be labeled in a location that is visible to a user during usage.
6 Indication of Toxic and Hazardous Substances or Elements
6.1 General Requirements
Electronic information products shall indicate, according to this standard, if the products contain toxic and hazardous substances or elements. If a product does not contain toxic and hazardous substances or elements, a mark as shown in Figure 1 shall be labeled. If a product contains toxic and hazardous substances or elements, a mark as shown in Figure 2 shall be labeled, and the names and content of toxic and hazardous substances or elements shall be provided in the product instruction manual according to this standard.

6.2.2 Labeling requirements
A manufacturer or an importer of electronic information products containing toxic and hazardous substances or elements shall indicate the names and content of toxic and hazardous substances or elements on the area where toxic and hazardous substances or elements are located, per Article 6.2.1 of this standard. The first row of Table 1 is the heading. The first column is the names of parts. All other columns are the content of toxic and hazardous substances or elements of the part. If a part does not contain certain type of toxic and hazardous substances or elements, the indication in the corresponding field of the table shall be “o”, indicating that the content of toxic and hazardous substances within the homogeneous material is below the limits specified in the SJ/Txxx-2006. If a part contains certain type of toxic and hazardous substances or elements, the indication in the corresponding field of the table shall be “x”, indicating that the content of toxic and hazardous substances within the homogeneous material exceeds the limits specified in SJ/Txxx-2006. The meaning of “o” and “x” shall be in the lower part of table.
The height of Chinese characters, digits, and characters shall not exceed 1.8mm.
7 Indication of Environment-friendly Use Period
Electronic information products that contain toxic and hazardous substances or elements shall label a mark as shown in Figure 2 indicating the environment-friendly use period. Detailed instructions on the usage condition and special marking of accessories during environment-friendly use period shall be included in the product instruction manual. The digits in Figure 2 must be replaced with the actual environment-friendly use period of the marked product.
The manufacture date of a product is the starting date of the environment-friendly use period of the product.
Manufacturers determine the environment-friendly use period by themselves.
8 Indication of Recyclability
A manufacturer or an importer of electronic information products shall indicate, based on this standard, the recyclability of toxic and hazardous substances or elements of products. For the recyclable products, a mark as shown in Figure 2 shall be labeled per this standard.
A product with recycle label shall not throw away at leisure.
9 Labeling of Packaging Materials
A manufacturer or importer of electronic information products shall indicate the number codes of packaging materials of electronic information products per GB18455-2001 standard. If the maximum surface area of packaging materials is less than 5x103 mm2, the indication doesn’t need to be labeled on packaging materials. It shall be indicated in the product instruction manual.
