It is not possible to establish a connection to the plasma generator. Make sure that the plasma generator is powered on and that the cable is connected. Then go to the Plasma page in the Diagnostics window and click on the Reconnect button.

Check the following: ?Make sure the cable between the computer and spectrometer is connected. ?Make sure the spectrometer is switched on. If this does not correct the problem a service visit may be required. Before calling service, turn off the power to the spectrometer, wait a few minutes, and turn it back on. Then start the software and try performing analyses. If the problem persists, call service. If the problem goes away, monitor the system and if the problem reappears, call service.
Computer unable to communicate with generator. The computer was unsuccessful in establishing communication with the generator. Possible reasons include: » Cable between computer and spectrometer not connected. » Spectrometer power is not switched on. Correct the problem and then press the Reconnect button on the Generator page of the Diagnostics window.
