Standard selenium solution: Dissolve an accurately weighed portion of sodium selenite in nitric acid solution (1→30) to obtain a solution having a concentration of about 1.00 mg selenium per ml. Transfer 5 ml of this solution to a 250-ml volumetric flask and dilute with water to volume. Further transfer 5 ml of this solution to a 100-ml volumetric flask and dilute with water to volume, to obtain a solution having a concentration of about 1μg selenium per ml..
Reference solution: Transfer 5 ml of the Standard selenium solution into 100-ml beaker, add 25 ml of nitric acid solution (1→30) and 10 ml of water, mix.

Test solution: Unless otherwise prescribed, transfer the quantity of the test substance specidied in the individual nonograph to a 1000-ml combustion flask, carry out the test (Appendix VII C). Using 5 ml of nitric acid solution (1→30) as the absorbing solution. Trasfer the absorbing solution into a 100-ml beaker, rinse the combustion flask and the platinum wire with 15 ml of water. Combine the rinsing and absorbing solution in the beaker.
Procedure: Adjust each of the reference solution and the test solution with ammonia TS to a pH of 2.0±0.2. Transfer each of these solutions to separatory funnels, rinse the beaker with water a few times, adding the rinsing to the separatory funnel until the volume is 60 ml. Add 1 ml of hydroxylamine hydrochloride solution (1→2), mix. Immediately and accurately add 5ml of diaminonaphthalene TS, mix, allow to stand for 100 min at room temperature. Accurately add 5 ml of cyclohexane, shake vigorously for 2 min. Allow the water layer to separate, then discard water layer. The cyclohexane layer is dehydrated by anhydrous sodium sulfate, then measure the absorbance at 378 nm (Appendix IV A). The absorbance of the solution from the Test solution is not more than that of the solution from the Reference solution.
【Note】Sodium selenite assay: Transfer about 0.1g of sodium selenite, accurately weighed, to an iodine flask, add 50ml of water, 3g of potassium iodide and 10ml of hydrochloric acid solution (1→2), insert the stopper and mix. Allow to stand for 5 min, add 50ml of water. Titrate with 0.1mol/L sodium thiosulfate VS until the color changes from brick redbe to salmon pink. Then add 2 ml of starch IS and continue the titration until the color changes from blue to mulberry. 1 ml of 0.1 mol/L sodium thiosulfate VS is equivalent to 4.324 mg of Na2SeO3 or 1.974mg的Se.

为什么不直接去找USP或者EP或者BP里面硒的测定方法呢

我主要是参照USP上的表述习惯进行试译的。以前我们经常写“精密称取本品0.1g,......”,后来有些专家说精密称取0.1g是不对的,不符合中国药典通则,于是仔细看了下中国药典,基本的写法是“取**适量,精密称定”或“取**约0.1g,精密称定”。我感觉CHP的这种写法与USP似乎有相通之处?所以我就参照了USP而没有按你那样直接翻译。EP上则很少看到weigh,而是溶解某物质在某溶剂里,更是直接了当。

或者有时候也直接说dissolve ...into....,我没用过EP,农药与医药还是有很多地方表达不一样的,虽然意思大家都知道

“weigh accurately about 0.1g of ***” should be translated as ““取**约0.1g,精密称定” because the original means “weigh accurately ->[about 0.1g of *** transferred]”
On the other hand, “取**约0.1g,精密称定” should accordingly be translated (or reverted) as “weigh accurately about 0.1g of ***”.
“Transfer about 0.1g of ***, accurately weighed” can be understood (especially the Chinese readers), but seems not the style of writing in English.
