Error Flags
Each concentration result may appear with a concentration result 'Flag'. The following table lists each possible concentration result flag and its description. The flags are listed in the order in which they are prioritized, from highest to lowest. If a sample concentration results in more than one error being flagged, the flag with the highest priority is displayed.
Error flags will be displayed in red text on the Analysis Worksheet. However, if there is more than one flag related to a sample, only the flag of highest priority (as discussed above) will be displayed. To view all of the flags related to a particular sample, highlight the sample and open the Edit Replicates dialog box, which can be accessed from the Edit menu.
Flag Description
o Replicate signal overrange
QC--- QC test failed
S--- Standard addition failure
e--- Edited result
C--- Fitted background error seen on replicates, due to non-convergence
D ---Fitted background error seen on replicates, unable to be modelled due to insufficient spectral data
uncal Uncalibrated results
i--- No internal standard correction applied
n--- Interference correction not applied (line has a related interferent that was not successfully calculated)
a ----Solution overrange and automatically diluted
u--- Under-range (< blank)
v--- Under valid range (< minimum concentration)
x---- Extended calibration range (> maximum concentration)
b---- Line has a related interferent that is above the extended calibration range (IEC correction still applied)
There are a number of default QC failure flag names, which are listed on the QC Test types and Failure flags page. However, you can change these flag names in the Edit QC Test Definition dialog box.
