【求助】USP中经常出现when appropriate,应该怎样理解？

“稳定”一词，在药物剂型上，指的是单位剂量的化学和物理的完整性，以及在合适情况下，单位剂量对微生物污染的抵抗能力。

从字面上理解，when appropriate 是在合适情况下，但是具体是什么意思呢？哪些情况是合适的情况呢？

我是这样理解的：
这段话是在说明稳定性考察的目的，因为药物的稳定性主要是考察药物的物理与化学稳定性，通常不考察微生物的稳定性，所以USP在这里用了when appropriate这个短语，也就是说如果该药物的稳定性也需要考虑微生物的污染情况的话，此稳定性的目的就是为了考察该药物对微生物的抵抗能力。

3.Accelerated studies also allow the interpretation of data and information on short-term spikes in storage conditions in addition to the excursions allowed by controlled room temperature.

“real-time”有“实时”的意思，我想这里的意思是指在做稳定性研究的时候，应按规定的时间即时的进行检测，不能过早或过迟，从而有效的掌握一定时间内产品的质量状况。

这句话是在强调“Controlled room temperature”（受控的室温）应不超过25℃

这句话我看了好几遍，终于明白了。
我想是由于USP的通则中对controlled room temperature的可允许范围有明确的规定，而没有加速实验条件的偏差，所以这里才做特殊说明。
