開機步驟

1. 確定所有的接線都正確

1.檢視所有的電線接頭及氣體管路都已正確連結

2.確定GC的載流氣體已開，且壓力正常

3.確定GC注射口之墊片完整

2. 啟動Clarus 500 MS軟體

1.重覆按下Clarus 500 MS之Icon，會出現Clarus 500 Mass Login螢幕

2.輸入密碼及鍵入OK

3.出現Clarus 500 Mass初始之Sample List螢幕

3. 按將Tune Page打開

The default Tune page appears:

4. 如果儀器尚未抽真空，按下Other選項中之Pump啟動Pump

這個動作將會啟動forepump及High vacuum pump，如果您的Clarus 500 Mass裝有真空壓力計，可按下觀看Pirani及Penning gauge之讀值，將載流氣體He流速設定1 ml/min，配備為Turbomolecular pump時需等待5分鐘，若為Diffusion pump系統則需等待20分鐘，真空度才能達到3.0 ╳ 10^-5Torr 。

5. 當注射口為CAP或PSS時，將GC split flow設為50 ml/min

如果使用Clarus 500 Mass 控制GC，則以下列步驟設定

1.按下則出現Acquisition Control Panel螢幕

2.選擇GC 選項中的Release Control

3.重覆按GC 儀器鍵盤上的[Inject Prog]鍵，直到流速顯示頁出現。鍵入50後按[Enter] 。等待1分鐘使得流速穩定平衡。

The total flow (split vent + septum purge + column) is displayed in the upper right corner. The split vent flow setpoint is displayed in the lower right corner.

6. 按下顯示Tune Peak List

7. 將Tune Peak改為4, 18, 28, 32

1.將Mass 1改為4然後按下Enter

2.將Mass 2改為18然後按下Enter

3.將Mass 3改為28然後按下Enter

4.將Mass 4改為32然後按下Enter

5.將每個Span改為4

6.將每個Gain改為1

8. 確定系統保持高真空度後，按下OPERATE將Filament打開，觀察所選定的Mass

如果真空度較1╳10^-4 Torr差，不得按下OPERATE鍵，否則會使得 Filament燒斷

1.觀察Mass 4 (He)，應該要較18 (Water) 大，而18又要較28 (N₂)大，而28應為32 (O₂) 的4倍。

2.如果必要，則增加Multiplier的值或增加Gain的值。

如果N₂(28)及O₂(32)比He(4)及Water(18)大，則表示系統有漏氣的現象，將會對Filament造成傷害，應立即將OPERATE鍵關掉以保護Filament。
