国际上色度标准单位PCU就是 《泊钴色度单位》的英文缩写，人们习惯说成《度》。
"True Colour" is the colour after the water has been filtered through a 0.45 micron filter. In natural waters, colour is due mainly to the presence of dissolved organic matter originating from soil and decaying vegetable matter. Colour is reported in Platinum/Cobalt units (PCU) or Hazen Units (HU). As a guide, tea has a colour of about 2500 PCU, few people could detect a colour of 3 PCU. There is no health based guideline limit for colour. An aesthetic limit has been set to minimise consumer concern.
