【求助】请问这几个字怎么翻译？

or Speciality English for Food Science

可是食品专业其实不只食品科学，还有食品工程。译成food science是否合适呢？

专业英语是ESP (English for special purpose),套用一下这个格式,个人觉得 English for food specialty或English for food science & engineering较好.

Agree. The original is ambiguous. “Food” may imply food logistics (purchase, transportation, storage etc.), business, science, engineering...

The word 专业 needs not be translated. The terms 医学专业英语, 工程专业英语 etc. are commonly used in Chinese; but in English, they are always simply expressed as English for Medicine, English for Engineering.

Perhaps, it is due to classifying the English into several categories when we learn English, such as 日用英语 (English for traveling, English for social activities ...) and 专业英语 (English for Medicine, English for Engineering…)

My suggestion:

English for Food ?

If the original has 副题, then translate the 副题

Why not directly "food english"??

Yes, why not, I read the term “Business English”.

However, “English for XXX” seems more common and it also depends on the traditional usage (for example, I prefer “Legal English” and “English for Law” rather than “English for Legal” and “Law English”.

呵 food english 感觉科技的成分少了点,有点科普的味道
如果用food speciality english 或者english for food speciality 的话应该没有什么大的区别吧!!?
