“See attached thesis” is 100% acceptable, I also use “see”, but I always wonder why not “read” or “refer to” as my English teacher had reminded me that “read the book”, not “see the book”.
The first time I encountered “See attached xxx” was from a letter issued by a Hong Kong government officer before 1997, is this colony English?

An alternative of “见附件” is “see the enclosure”
Sometimes, we may find the following at the end of a letter:
c.c. Mr. A (w/encl.)
Mr. B (w/o encl.)
It means that send the copy to Mr. A with enclosure, and to Mr. B without enclosure.
