很有用，不过这些都是表面形式，难道这样一改这个世界就平等了？
并非针对个人，只是感觉这种风气。

call girl(应召女郎）--prostitute妓女
这个好象没有必要。

呵呵，call girl比较好记。与之对应的还有street girl，是在街上卖的那种。

明白了，谢谢。这好象不仅仅是性别的问题，还有地位。干哪行的都有等级之分。

用prostitute避了性别歧视, 但避不了职业歧视, a politically correct term is Sex Worker (性工作者), although Sex Worker is not limited to prostitutes.

香港有一个维护性工作者权益的组织叫”紫藤”, 多次呼吁传媒不要用歧视性字眼称呼也们。 “鸡”当然不可, 妓女也不合, 应叫性工作者。

事实上, 一些职业歧视的字, 无论中英文都应不用, 例如苦力、扫街的等等。
