Molybdenum - Ladd Research is the world's largest burr-free aperture producer and the majority of our apertures are made of molybdenum. The lifespan of a molybdenum aperture / pinhole is much longer than that of a platinum aperture. The disadvantage of molybdenum is that it must be cleaned in a vacuum evaporator, usually in a heated tungsten boat.
Platinum / Platinum:Iridium - We offer pure platinum and Pt/Ir for apertures. Standard EM apertures use 90%Pt:10%Ir. The addition of 10% iridium to platinum adds strength to the material, providing a sharper, cleaner finished product. Platinum apertures are generally cleaned using the Ladd Aperture Cleaning Kit which consists of the Ladd Flamer and accessories. The Ladd platinum tipped tweezers can also be used. The disadvantage to platinum is that it's lifespan is considerably shorter than for molybdenum apertures.
In summary, we would suggest for less expensive disc apertures, you might use Pt/Ir and for the more expensive strip apertures you might choose molybdenum.

我没用过tem,但听说象散对于TEM影响也很大,光阑的污染是产生像散的重要因素,因此才清洗光阑,
有人猜测:洗过几次后,光阑上表面由光滑变得粗糙,沉积在表面的污染物无法消除,增大了电镜固有象散;新的光阑孔边缘非常锐利,过滤后的电子束非常“干净”,电子束焦点因为光阑边缘散射引起的弥散斑很小,而长期使用的光阑尤其物镜光阑,边缘逐渐钝化,相应的散射效应使得电子束焦点处弥散斑加大,逐渐降低了电镜分辨率,影响了成像效果,直到操作者不能容忍为止
现在看来国内好像没有人做过基础研究!
