Each compound’s matches are examined in turn. Subject to the Minimum match factor parameter, the compound is initially assigned to the extracted spectrum having the highest match with it. However, if an extracted spectrum would be the best match for more than one compound, the spectrum is assigned to the compound it has the highest match with. The assigned extracted spectrum is then no longer available for matching with any other compound (unless Multiple identifications per compound is selected).
