Spot-test:
点测试
negative=absence of CrVI coating,positive=presence of CrVI coating
阴性代表涂层中未证明存在Cr6+，阳性代表涂层中存在Cr6+
(the tested sample should be further verified by boiling-water-extraction method if the spot test result cannot be confirmed)
如果点测试结果阴性，被测样品应该进一步用沸水萃取法检验。
boiling-water-extraction:
沸水萃取法：
negative=absence of CrVI coating
阴性代表涂层中无Cr6+
positive=presence of CrVI coating;
阳性代表涂层中存在Cr6+
the detected concentration in boiling-water-extraction
solution is equal or greater than 0.02 mg/kg with 50cm2 sample surface areas
沸水萃取法中的检测浓度为50cm2样品表面大于等于0.02mg/kg。

现场观察检验：
阴性=不存在六价铬镀层；阳性=存在六价格镀层？？
（如果现场观察检验不能确认的话，需要用沸水提取方法确认测试样品）

沸水提取方法：
阴性=不存在六价铬镀层；
阳性=存在六价格镀层；沸水提取法测定的提取液浓度等于或大于0.02 mg/kg /50平方厘米样品表面积。可以看看Redanqi的一个帖子，那上面有些翻译的。

In my field, spot check is 抽样检查. I have no idea whether spot-test has the similar meaning in your field. Just for your information.
